Character Modeling

Does anyone here knows how to model characters like Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy: Advent Children and Tekken using Maya?where should I start?

You start by failing miserably! No matter how good the tutorial you follow is, you'll need to train yourself.

Free tutorials should be easy to find on google:

If you have access to zbrush, this tutorial is among the best so far, altho it's a female character, the same principles apply:

and this is for more advanced modelers / cinematic characters:

Do you know of a way to download or low the quality of the CGCircuit video? I cannot watch more than 5 seconds at a time without it stopping to load for about 30 seconds and I have really good internet so I am unsure what the problem is.

Sorry for the late reply, make sure you are registered on the site to watch all the vids. You'll have to buy Part 2 and 3, but they're super cheap.
