Anatomy Thread of marowak

Hello everyone!

I am a total beginner in art / drawing / painting and etc. I'm gonna start this thread to post my "works" here in hope that some of you will be so kind and give me some feedback.
My goal for now is to learn human anatomy to be able to draw people reallistic way. Later I want to learn myself painting and all this stull that comes along with it (composition, value, perspective and more...)

I'm very motivated right now and i hope that you will help keep that motivation going....
And maybe someday when you guys see my artworks will be able to say "WOW!! that's great!! how did you do that!!???". that's my biggest dream...

ok, for the first i'm going to do ASSIGNMENS that are posted in Beginner's Lounge thread.
So the first one (refference photos are downloaded from

Great gestures, I really like what you have here so far. The five minute sketches work well with your use of cross contours. They're looking good with how your capturing the shadows in a short amount of time.

Keep up the good work

practicing with "The New Drawing On The Right Side Of The Brain".... It may be a little step back from gesture drawing and anatomy learning however I feel like I'm lacking on some basics. The book itself is great to know the basics of the drawing, but also gives something more..... Halfway with it so there will be more, last one is a photo so quality isn't very good...

p.s. I personally HATE doing still nature but it is good (from what I heard) for problems with value, so i did one ... :/
