Armiga: Trailer

Play your Amiga games in all HD glory with the 720p output from the Armiga. Play them fullscreen (16:9) at original 4:3 or a something in
between (3:2) and enhance them with scanlines, a CRT effect or plain
pixel doubler. (indie gogo video prom 2014)

Amiga was nice back in the day but seriously ppl need to let go.
There's absolutely nothing special about it anymore. So much time has gone by and technology has moved forward extremely.
Most of the games they showed were already playable on my IBM pc back in the day with little to no difference.

These days there are tons of emulators available that can technically do the same thing as this box or am I missing something?

Too much time on people's hands apparently.

Yeah like there are like 20 wannabe apps per game for your phone...

Its an amiga emulator on a raspberry pi more or less. You can just buy an actual raspberry pi for a fraction of the cost, so why bother with the floppy? anyone who cares will have already downloaded the 1gb zip of every amiga game ever commercially released anyway.

I have lots of Amiga disks still, as well as an A500. I'm buying this.

Amiga doesn't die, because it gave people a truly great experience due to its way-ahead-of-its-time hardware design. The games were beautiful as well. So much fun in so few kilobytes.

This is a great way for my kids to get a chance to play the games I played when I was a young man.

I'm glad these people built this.

So good, it just wont stay dead. I also admire the guys who still produce commercial C64 games (with real case, manual, poster and all). I love that passion and that spirit. They make those computers their own despite the company not producing them anymore.
