Bride Entrance Video

Hello Everyone!

That's my first post on CGsociety forums, so forgive me if that's not the right forum for this thread.

I've been a member for a while, and it was great learning from your experience guys! There's something I'd like to discuss with you and maybe I could get some advice.

But First, allow me to introduce myself. I'm a second year VFX student based in the UK. I am growing an interest in 3D and CGI especially modelling and might to specialise in that area.

Recently, I watched this videoon Youtube:

(Here's the link in case it doesn't play)

I was amazed by the graphics and animation, but also the screen size. And I'd like to create something similar for a personal project.

I'm still at the beginning of my second year and there's loads of stuff that we'll be learning over time. It's just that I like to push things forward a little bit.

My question to you guys is, do you think that was actually done in 3D?
I know for a fact that budget for this video wasn't high enough to afford modelling, texturing, animating and also rendering.

Do you think that was stock footage? If so, do you recommend any website for this particular situation?

Otherwise, is there any software that helps achieve a similar effect without going through the whole 3D pipeline?

Thank you in advance for any help! 😃

This is a royal wedding in the UAE. They probably threw hundreds of thousands of oil and gas dollars at creating that animation.

This is the company that created it:

Yes, that is 3D modeled and animated.

No, what is shown is not particularly hard to create.

Hey Skeebertus,

Thank you for your reply.

I assume then it requires more than one person to come up with such a work, unless of course I have forever to work on this :P !
