My now 23 year old son was raised on LEGO and he is beyond excited. If we could buy tickets today we totally would.

Hopefully when you are able to, you can start filling us in more. Woot!

Great work! Trailer is awesome!
I tried replying to one of the youtube commenters who said they were so glad it wasn't CG, letting them know that it was and got a huge reply about how he knew it wasn't because he'd made a few lego stop-motion films and knows what lego stop-motion looks like haha so to everyone who worked on this, fantastic work on getting it to look and feel like a stop-mo film!!

Yes

Just....... YEESSSSSS!

I'm going to have to be careful how I break this to my son. If I do it wrong his head may just explode.
If you get in real close you can see how it looks like someone has actually played with these Lego's. I can see various ding marks all over Emmet's face when the light hits it right.

'80s SPACE GUY?! But... the '90s space guy was so much cooler!

I'm disappointed by the utter lack of pandering to the '90s kids in this regard. Not to mention I would bet money that the '90s space guy served as a direct inspiration for Iron Man's Starboost suit, making him all the more omnipandering!

Maybe the Blacktron guys will make a cameo.

LEGO is like sheep, no plural. If you want to refer to multiple pieces it's "LEGO bricks".
Straight from a LEGO VP when he was asked, no need to fight

Maybe some of the sets and static posed figures are done with actual LEGO...
That would be a good approach as it sets a strong benchmark for the CG elements.
