I don't use Houdini, but i agree with you that the software we use really is not that expensive for what we get. After all, toold in garages can cost in the tens of thousands and they only do one thing. All the major packages give incredible value for money. Granted the subscriptions are a ball ache, but im stil happy to shell out what we do on 3dsmax, vray and realflow.

I guess R&H did not charge enough then.
