zbrush central - totalitarianism at it's finest

On that forum you either praise the poster or you shut up.
In five (5) pages of threads you're hard pressed to find one with less than 5 stars. I've counted two. Either the people posting there are that good or there's something fishy going on. To me it's obvious which one is it.

In one thread I've told to the OP that his works are poor and he posted unnecessarily big pictures (like a few screens wide with something small in the middle) and then I've rated his thread with one star.
I don't remember very well why I've gone out of my way to waste my time with this as I usually don't meddle in such things - I was probably a little intoxicated - but that's irrelevant. I didn't use profanity or did anything that would constitute a violation of the rules (or at least a the rules of a normal forum).

Not long after that I get a PM from forum admin (aurick or something) that I've being issued a warning because they're trying to encourage people there and besides, where's my portfolio with great works to have the right to comment on other people works? I'm not kidding he really asked me that. A representative of a company... belittling a user... even if I were out of line (which I wasn't by any reasonable standards) is this how you're supposed to deal with someone who for all you know pays your salary?

I still visit and post from time to time on that forum because there are lots of talented people (among the not so much) and is a great place to see great works unfolding.
As for their way of running their community... yuk!

End of rant.

You seem to have mistaken this forum for a schoolyard.

Take that chip on your shoulder somewhere else.
