Printscreen would still be with a watermark though.

I actually don't mind if someone steals my artwork and that has happened before.

I don't want to ruin my images with a big watermark and in the end I personally see it as a kind of compliment. There's not much I can do about such things so why getting bothered.

I personally prefer watermark.

The reason is that I'm too a graphics collector, and I want to easily know which artist work on which art when I show it to other people (like boss, friend, etc).

Long long time ago I've been collecting all kind of images (usually in the demo scene / pixelling) and I personally hate 'cannot save' because back then internet was not easily available where I would carry a box of diskette to a cyber cafe (thumb drive wasn't even invented yet) to save image files, DaVinci of Phrozen Crew tutorials, and what not.

So I like it if I can easily make the image available offline. So I prefer watermark, just like DaVinci of PC did it, or Pixel of Future Crew did it.

Right click protection is useless. They can screen grab it or use firefox to grab every image on the webpage. or if they are a web developer just grab the image from the image list for the site.

The only thing you can really do is make sure you're art is known by as many people as possible so that if anyone tries to use it you'll hear about it. You can also try google's image search feature.

Always put your name and website on any art you put on the web. Even better incorporate your name into the image name. Although this won't protect your work it will help legitimate viewers to get in contact with you.

never put the full rez image up or use a different cropping of the full art. Owning the full resolution image can help if you have to go to court. Then again having the original PSD, 3D model etc of the work does the same thing.
