Activision confirms layoffs, fewer licensed games in 2013

Quote:
"Call of Duty: Black Ops II publisher Activision has laid off approximately 30 staffers, as it looks to hold back on the number of licensed games it releases this year.

In a statement to Kotaku,
the company said that it will release fewer licensed games in 2013 to better reflect the current video game market.

Quote: The restructuring comes at a time when Activision has just finished off a record fiscal year, generating $4.86 billion in revenues for the year.

Wow, only February and it seems to be bad news every few days. Does every year be like this, or is it just the 13 being unlucky this year?
