What you miss in software?
I miss:
3s max - symmetry, the same - for photoshop. Zbrush - cloth generator, human generator (though this guy seems to work on this http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showth...er-version-1-0-). |

When did MAX loose the Symmetry modifier?
I've found that software has only gotten better (if not a bit bloatier) through the years. That said, I miss the 'preZbrush' days when portfolios weren't full of 3 million poly sculpts of humanoid monsters with joints like an 80's action figure. __________________

would be great if 3ds max particle flow had operators which responsible for physical interaction & also I'd was happy if painting in Viewport canvas was so powerful like in zbrush

Symmetry just copies half of your model. And if parts are symmetrical, but have different mapping, it won't work. I mean like in Zbrush, and Lightwave (ages ago). |

Hmm, maybe not that modern! While not perfect, I like that Max has such a customizable UI. I can build tool bars, create custom scripts and buttons, and arrange them to my heart's content. The Photoshop UI is 25 years old, with the biggest change being some dockable windows. There still aren't hot-keys for everything, and the color picker is still the worst thing ever. And by "ever" I mean it was awful in 1997, but is just an abomination now. |
