Now this is Animation!

http://therewardfilm.blogspot.com/

I recently came across this fun and all style animation online.

The Reward
Tells the hero's tale in 9 minutes.
Fun campy animation.

My question is how come something like R' ha gets more attention in general to a 2d animation like this?

Oh well, enjoy this great animation

Saw this last night. Great animation and a great little story.
It's told so well, my 8 yr. old got it right away.

Well its a trend.

My question is, why do people still use facebook, or twitter?

That made my day! Absolutely loved it. I would also love to see something like a 13 episode series about these guys.

Oh just give it more time.

Sooner or later... something occurs. Again, don't be fooled by the illusion surrounding Rosa (which was out for 1 year or so before the hype started) or R'ha which in all likelihood was discovered much earlier than its planned release date.

This film is indeed fantastic, and does far more with the sub-10 minute format than I thought initially possible. Good overall message "The real reward is the journey and our self transformation".... but I think some people may be concerned that there are some sexualized themes in this and that the women are objectified.

But I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy that as well at a basic juvenile level.

10 out of 10.

That was so brilliantly told, the animation was just right for the overall visual look. I agree on R'ah, completely void of anything worth making.

On a tangent, I just saw this today which I thought also had a lot of potential as a series:

Charming piece using the best elements of the genre.
Thanks for the heads up!

Awesome! Just awesome.

That was just completely awesome. Wow!

Its the type of thing I wish Genndy Tartakovsky was going to do when I heard he was creating a feature film.

Things like this remind me how much I absolutely love animation. Such amazing work.

Purposeful and eloquently done. Much respect for those who achieved.

I think that's a low comparison level. To me this great animation was even more entertaining than some of the Oscar nominees. Those puns like the narwhals and the bamboo legged critters made me lol. And the score is great as well!

It is a wonderful animation, truly, but they did go on this journey of growth in order to pick up women and their success in this is underlined at the end... and the only woman not falling for it, being adversarial, had to be disposed of. Sexualized themes are OK, really, sex is part of 'the adventure'. Yet it does have that male (heterosexual) normative perspective you get from more small animations, treating women as 'the prize' for a non-hero to aspire to.

The animation style and the breadth of locations and events is wonderful, though, and nary a second is wasted. Very eloquent.

This was a great animation that felt more like 30 minutes than 9 minutes meaning that it was that good. I personally would like to see more adventures for these two.

I don't see an issue with women being the prize? Whether it was underlying or blatantly outright. That is life. Men are always trying to get the woman of their dreams, and as are women trying to find Mr. Right. We sexualize each other, it's called having fantasies for a reason.
