3Ds Max hair?

So what plugins are people using for hair/fur/grass in 3ds max. And yes I'm aware of the hair already in there. frankly I think the hair in 3ds max isn't all that great and was wondering what other people used.

Hairfarm is very good, but pricey though. http://www.cyberradiance.com/hairfarm/ I can only say positive things about it, especially compared to other plugins. You'd better having the last processor and at least 16 GB of RAM for it to render blazingly-fast. And it is fast.
Still I'd love to comb it like in Zbrush, that's what I'm missing in it.

The 3DMax forum section is here:

You may get better help there.

Good luck!

I've never had a problem with max's built in hair systems, but I've used it since it was SHAVE, so perhaps I'm just used to it.

VRay fur for rendering is where it's at. Works with Max hair and Ornatrix, and HairFarm support has been added as of 2.4 or can be added as an extra plugin. The great part about it is that hair rendering is unified together with everything else, it works with GI, VRay lights, atmospherics, etc. and it looks great.

Where could I read about it more?
