State of the industry in the UK, and best place to find work.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

I've returned to the UK after a couple years away, had a handful of contracts in Soho and Glasgow back in 07-09, and am looking for work now again.

How are things currently in the UK? I've been hearing not so great...

I've got back in contact with the recruiting agencies I was getting work with previously (Escape Studios and Utopia People), wondering if there are others I should be chasing up, and where jobs are generally posted these days?
I mostly work in TV / print spots and game cinematics.

Cheers,

Daniel.

I left london a year ago to come to new zealand. from what i hear from my friends back home is that its slow at the moment with a lot of companies waiting for projectsto come in. expectation is that it will pick up again but its just a matter of waiting. Also instead of going through recruitment companies, you can send in your reel to the companies directly. It's always better to know someone who can pass you reel on to HR directly though in my experience.
