The Side by Side documentary with Keanu Reeves screened recently in Australia. It was released in August but doesn't appear to have been discussed here.

You can still see the whole thing here on iView. It expires in 7 days.

Too bad it is only available to watch in Australia.

Due to copyright reasons this video program is available for download by people located in Australia only. If you are not located in Australia, you are not authorised to view this video.

For those in the States, the Tribeca Film site (first link in OP) has VOD links and details of selected upcoming screenings. As well as the trailer, the site has thirty interesting outtake clips. My second link is to a series of eight YouTube clips from the documentary as screened.

Otherwise, this is at least a heads-up for other countries where the documentary may be screened at a later date.

Same problem here. It tells me that I have to be in Australia to watch it...

I wish they wouldn't do this "region restricted" crap. It negates the whole point of the internet.

Also, sites like Hulu don't work here, and some Youtube videos also refuse to play.

iView is an Australian TV service, for catching up on missed shows. It's not international.

You can hire the documentary on iTunes, if you like. The quality will also be a million miles better than a streaming service like iView

So, I just got through watching it. I thought it was a little all over the place at times, but I really liked it. I think it very nicely showed the feels towards digital film making, and I especially enjoyed the part on archiving. Some interesting thoughts there.

Can't get over the Mad TV skits that portrayed "Cool Breeze over the Mountains" Reeves with his slow distinct speech (kinda surfer like).
