Polar Bears Short by Animal Logic

Apparently no mentions of this going around, seems to be flying low on most radars for some reason, so I thought it might be worth posting:

Latest short finished by our TVC/Short form department for Coke.

Those colors just look hard to watch at for long periods of time.

I thought it was cute, what's not to like about polar bears? Beautiful environments as usual. Nice one!

This is strange. It looks like Happy Feet 3 with unpolished script and editing. Somebody should cut 50% of this, fix all the shots that were approved in a hurry and then they'll have a really nice short.

Agreed, blown out and over saturated with no detail.

its a nice short but I think some people in AL must have got bored, same style and design all over and over again, is it just because of the 'name curse'?

Cool! I really like it.

It does look like Happy Feet, but maybe that's why Coke or their ad agency went to AL.

How was Ridley Scott involved? Was he at AL working with your shorts department?

I wouldn't call 330K views in one week flying low on the radar.

Definitely could have been more economical. Some gags could have been shorter or left out.

It does kinda tie it all in at the very end. But you're kind of left wondering where it's all heading in the middle of the short.

Could be because Jack and Kaia kind of compete as "main flagpole" for what is being talked about? Again.. I feel it could have been "smaller"... Would have suggested merging Kaia and Jack as the same character and skipped the "Scale new heights" gag and gone straight to the "Embrace all differences" issue which is the main point in the end and choose either dancing with the birds or swimming with the birds, but not both.

Still.. very good animation.
