Sci-fi Air Show short movie

Bill George (longtime ILM model builder) is back with this neat little movie about the Jupiter II spaceship.

If you haven't seen his site with many classic spaceship models, it's worth a long look. Check out the "downloads" link for high rez images.

This is really really a great idea!
Sci-Fi/fantasy vehicles are worth to preserve and promote, not only because these are the crystallization of people's wisdom, but also the development of science!

I like the background ships flying, the bots botting and the spider from Johnny Quest. man I dated myself with that last one.

Fantastic behind-the-scenes building and shooting of the Jupiter II model.

There's even some digital stuff at the end to keep this thread honest.

Nice one!

It's cool how they chose the saucer shape not just as a homage to UFOs but perhaps to imply that Earth borrowed functional interstellar tech from a crashed vessel. Maybe "out there" it's the best form for popping through wormholes, that's why most of the sightings are of saucers not triangles?
