2 x Xeon E5520 = 1 x I7 2600K anyone else ?
I just happened to use a dual Xeon E5520 for some simulations and its speed is almost similar to my home pc I7 2600K single processor maybe a bit faster. I am guessing this is normal due to generation difference..
anybody has similar performance comparisons...

The E5520 is a Nehalem Generation CPU, that technology is about four years old, the two processors are two generations apart.
