Had to be a reference to it, and I loved the filmmakers for that.

I knew in the back of my head that the stakes weren't as high, someone would rescue him, it wasn't like when I thought they might actually put the Toy Story characters in the furnace, but it was still a great emotional moment.

a nice nod to a movie and not just video games.

for a moment i thought that maybe they were going to have him die in that scene but then revive him just like a video game...with the whole rule of dying outside your game kind of adds drama to it.

but as soon as venelope started running to his rescue i already knew they weren't going to kill ralph. it is a disney movie after all.

paperman is pretty awesome too.

Just saw this and it is a stunning achievment. Congrats to all who worked on it. Usually by the end of most animated movies I am just waiting for the screenplay to run its course, but this was a thing of beauty. Really wrapped up nicely, and with a ton of heart (but without all the faux weepiness.)

I saw it and I really liked it! .. And the video game reference are very funny without being distracting.

For me game changer for Disney was Tangled, probably the best commercial animated feature for a decade, than Wreck it Ralf was cool and funny but not so deep, but now this Planes seems embarrassing.

Regarding the spoiler, yeah, I agree. But cannot say much, these kind of thing has become a trope already. It's called Crowning Moment of Awesome. Actually there was another name for it, but due to spoiler reason, heh, heh...

Just saw it, loved the first half and 2nd half not so much, especially liked how they animated the old pixel game characters to have a frame jump like animation.

That said, The paper man short blew me away! I hope disney looks at it and thinks about exploring the style for a full length feature.

I just loved this movie and the short before it. So much fun and both films absolutely perfect examples of how 3D can be used incredibly well.

Loved the end of the sequence with the FPS bot. Perfect comedy, still makes me chuckle thinking about it.
