Digital Tutors recent malware attack

Has anyone heard any more about the malware attack on DT a couple of weeks ago? The thread over there doesn't have a lot of information. The forum staff say there is no cause for concern, but still ask for members to change their passwords "just in case", and there seems to have been a general lack of real clarity about the event. Questions have all been left to the forum staff to answer, and they seem to know very little. Being told there is no risk but change passwords "just in case" does little to fill me with confidence because of what happened to me subsequently.
My computer started to behave oddly around the time this happened, mouse became unresponsive, unusual bandwidth spikes which I noticed as I'm on a basic package and monitor my bandwidth usage. After a day I was unable to use the computer at all, it would start up and make clicking noises before continually shutting down and restarting.
I called out a tech guy and he took the PC away, deleted some trojans and other undesirables and reformatted it and reinstalled Windows 7. It is working fine now and I lost very little work because I keep it all on separate drives.

It may all be coincidence that this happened around the time of the malware attack (I am not ranting and hope it is just coincidence), but I do wish DT had been more out in the open with less mystery about this.
