Exclamation How to animate a tree with wind movement?

first of all, I'v already used onyx tree. but right now, i don't have onyx treestorm for max 2013. so, I'm thinking abt manually animating a tree for very gentle breeze. I'm sure that people here can help. any tips or tutorial for animating tree manually for wind movement?

or any other way to bake the onyx wind animation in 3ds max?

Thanks in advance.

3DMax forum is here:

You could rig the branches of the tree with bones, and either animate them by hand, or use some sort of bone-dynamics/IK simulation if Max has that.

It's not that hard to create a swaying motion by hand...

Other options are turning the tree into a softbody dynamics or cloth object, with stiff physics settings, and get it to sway in wind that way.

I don't know enough about Max to help you more. Try the 3DMax forum for better help...
