First look at RoboCop's new suit design

This may or may not be fully finished since it looks like they're just running test shots, but if it is, it is.

Pics got moved.

I'm not sold yet. I know since Iron Man the sleek look is in, but it just feels more like Guyver or something. Maybe it's the matte black, it looks like he just borrowed it from Batman. I miss the balance of chrome and black from the original, and also the "burliness" of it. Or it feels like a generic future cop outfit from a dozen other movies rather than a unique character.

But some other sources have said there will be multiple suits, and it'll transform or some wacky crap, so who knows, maybe it will be heavily augmented with CG, or this is just one version along the way.

I like it. This kind of sleek look has been in a lot of anime, and like Hypercube said Ironman made it mainstream, but it looks a lot less clunky, and more manoeuvrable than the 80's version.

Looks like....a Tokusatsu Batman with no horns and no cape.

(starting to think that a few more changes and it wouldn't have needed the RoboCop licence)

That one bare hand made me think of Silverhawks. But even they were silver.

Wow that looks terrible. It looks like a guy in a suit as opposed to the first one where it actually looked like a machine. The original design is still king. Why did they leave his right hand human? What possible advantage can that have? is he going to pick his nose with it?

Not necessarily putting the new design down.

But will agree the original looked very mechanical, part of it down to Peter Weller's research for the motion.

RoboCop Onscreen Introduction

The new one looks too flexible for the themes of "losing humanity".

I believe this may be an earlier version of the robocop suit, kinda along the same lines as ironman?

i felt exactly the same, maybe they need to come up with something more creative. maybe some colors would help instead of all black
