Art to me is the artistic output - any artistic output - of a creative individual or a creative mind.

Art can be a song, or a photo, or a novel, or a painting, or an animation, or a graphic novel, or a film, or a sculpture, or a game, or an interesting building, or a few lines of C++ code...

These are all "artistic works", as far as I'm concerned.

Art can be good, or bad, or average, or perhaps even undefinable, and "unreviewable", or "unquantifiable".

But art is art... And anything created in the name of art is, by definition, a work of art, whether good, or bad, or something else.

And yes, CG is definitely "art" in my view, not least because it is quite challenging to create good CG art.

Does that make any sense?
