I enjoy watching it with my kids- even the older previous 2d version with my oldest.

Looks really cool, though I wish they would leave the Mandalorians alone, they've shat on them enough already

How come they are still not using DOF? With their lighting having become so incredibly good since Season 3, I think this might really push the visuals of the show to levels of feature film quality...

What's better than The Clone Wars Season 5? Seeing the premiere 8 days early at Lucasfilm!

Space is limited, so act fast!

My goodness!! It looks like their fight choreography got 10X better since I last watched the show! A lot of the non character stuff looks almost the same as the movies!!

I am guessing I saw the same trailer as you, since i am checking on local sites. I might have to catch up and start watching this again.

Right when it was getting good buzz is when they brought back Maul, which re-shuttered my interest in watching it; I was scarred pretty bad by the launch movie's inanity. My only interest over the years has been to see how and if Ahsoka is killed or cloistered or what.

The raw CG production quality in the trailer is astounding. I have to believe that considering no remotely comparable TV production has arisen in these 5 years, the show's financials must be...unique?...if not precarious? Considering that Clone Wars doesn't give off the buzz and social zeitgeist of a mega hit, I would assume it is getting direct subsidies from merchandise sales, or investments from the Singaporean government? Or maybe it is that successful? I just think it looks really, really good. I think that pipeline could produce a solid theatrically released film, with minimal extra CG polish.

I see myself watching it marathon style, someday I guess.

Note about the financials,
It is the merchandize what is the big deal,
and Boy does it sell.
And don't underestimate the fans UNDER 13 that love this show.

And About Darth Maul,
Well the Maul arc was REALLY cool.

And his fight with the Emperor was awesome:

Look out for these arc some of the best SW out there:

Episodes and arc that you should look for are:
Heroes on Both Sides
Umbara Arc (last season)
Ghosts of Mortis Arc
Madalorian Arc
the Trail of ashoka Arc.

Also it has some of the coolest female characters on Scifi.
The character arcs for Asoka arc and Assaj Ventress are FREAKING incredible.
They both started as 2d characters, but as the series goes alon you have no idea what will happen to them.
Obi wan is presented as Flash Gordon with a chastity vow, and Anakin is shown as the Big brother you wish you had. This show really has done wonders for the brand.
Hell the show even makes a point that the Jedi Order and the Republic almost deserve what will happen to them with Papatine.

Technical Directors from the Live Action groups of Lucasfilm were switched into the team since I think Season 3.... Ever since then the visual quality has started changing to approximate the live action films.

This is a clip from the 2 episode of the last arc of this season.
And the quality was movie like. It is top of the shelf animation work:

Ahsoka Tano Escapes From Prison

Or the Mandalorian arc

Those are more dramatic examples, but what I was told was that even the simplest things all changed such as the Visual Effects that appear when ships come out of hyperdrive, missile trails, lighting styles, camera filters, skin shaders... Everything was different.

If you go back and see Season 1 you will see everything was different back then.

I do agree there doesn't seem to be a lot of "overt" DOF, but I guess you can't have everything when you work on a schedule as tight as ILM Singapore does for this show.
