New Judge Dredd Trailer

On youtube, I absolutely loved the 2000AD and Judge Dredd comics as a kid I always thought that some of the stories had great potential for the big screen, although when it finally came the Stallone effort was a bit of a disaster. Unfortunately, judging by this trailer this one looks dreddful too!

Sorry, couldn't resist and hopefully I'll also be wrong about the pre-judgement

After watching this trailer I'd rather watch the one with sly and rob schneider.

Looks neither terribly good, nor terribly bad. Maybe the trailer - which isn't exactly great - doesn't do the full movie justice?

Might be a decent popcorn-action-flick to throw in the DVD player when nothing else is on...

Still think the helmet's too big. But it's great that they're trying to do better. Just not sure they've done entirely better.

Seems strangely small, like it all takes place in that one building..but I think it is a really small budget, so gotta do what you gotta do. I wonder how much of the budget went to the slow motion stuff that would have gone elsewhere.

Is it just me or did they misspell "Judgement" :54 and 2:34?

Edit: Oh, I guess not. I'm just olde fashioned.

"In Great Britain and many of its former colonies, “judgement” is still the correct spelling, but ever since Noah Webster decreed the first E superfluous, Americans have omitted it. Many of Webster’s crotchets have faded away (each year fewer people use the spelling “theater,” for instance), but even the producers of Terminator 2: Judgment Day chose the traditional American spelling. If you write “judgement” you should also write “colour.” "

I got a weird vibe from the spaces, too. They seem underpopulated, with a lot of empty space in the frame. Just looked weird for some reason.

Don't like the thing about trying to get the bad guy who controls a building block, plot seems to be ripped off. Also not too sure about the uniform, the old movie's actually looks better in my opinion cause the big shoulder pads were cool.

However the action looks quite good and the gun looks cool too. Will have to wait and see I guess.

I feel like the trailer is not bad but a bit long.

The opening minute of the trailer is all exposition and I think it could have been trimmed off .

It's not bad... but.... it seems to have a smaller scale than the Stallone picture.

Slow motion is a lot cheaper that it used to be - that's why you're seeing it all over the place. The Phantom digital camera has brought the cost right down to affordable levels. It also doesn't need anything like the amount of light that you had to use to expose a film negative in a high speed camera so the cost for the shoot is a lot lower too.

dont like it.
like the design of the stallone movie much better. this one is way to reduced and way to dirty. simple shapes which looks all the same. the feeling of a growing city for so much people is completely missing.
