Ed777uk,

Sounds great! PixelColada / Sheff, a frequenter of this forum, has a great Color Tutorial and Exercise here which you and others might want to check out:

It's definitely worth taking a look at!

let me join!

digitalsol - looking good already, values-wise
dan - nice. hope you will bring in some more contrast between warm and cool, and post bigger!
zhu - looks so alive and effortless - somehow you've captured the essence of those studies. maybe you could have brought out the reds around the noses a bit more vividly, i think the value is a little conservative, but it's only a small point. anyhoo -->
hiiri - hope you bring your figure-skills to bear on this thread...

few hours already on the zorn:

hoping to get it finished...

EDIT: P.S. Rebecca - Hong Ly (no 8) has been zapped by photobucket, in case you haven't yet noticed...

MechaHateChimp,

I love your line work! I wish mine could be as smooth and fluid as yours. I really, really like the energy that I see in the pen sketch.

Dan Silverman,

Great update! You know, your work reminds me a bit of that of SaraD, who will hopefully be joining this Workshop:

Her work can be seen here:

Some really fantastic works so far! Wish I had time to join...the coming week is very busy for me. But this OFDW will end after a month only, yeeah!! I really want to give it a try on the portraits. Good luck to all of you!

is it just me or is the second link to the nude broken? :(

i may do a master copy though, oh well! ^^

Wow, wonderful stuff everyone! This thread is growing so fast, 5 pages in 2 days!It's going to be so difficult to keep up with everyone's work(inspite of having all the time in the world, yay for summer holidays).

Here's mine, still sketchy I'm sort of thinking about doing 2 at a time, hmm. Oh yea, and Photobucket doesn't allow nudes, apparently :(

Hope you can join the next one!

hpslashluvr,

Thanks for reporting the broken link ~ that's now fixed, Photobucket has been acting up today, so please let me know if any other links are broken.

hiiri,

No surprise here, that's looking great!

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

Good Morning everyone!

Already 5 pages here , but this is not a surprise seeing the beautiful references ! Though I see it will be hard to keep up with you, I definately want to try another painting in this OFDW...you're all so terrible fast and good ...
So to put myself under a little pressure, here's my first quick sketch...

Have all a nice day!

Hi everyone,

I really enjoy to see the different styles and ways you all take here.

@zhuzu
beautiful way you are creating your pictures. Solid and feathery at the same time.

@Dan Silverman
let us toss Ms. Kimmel with WIP's..s she wants it, she'll get it.

@Digital Sol
thank you, great start, nice to see your process. It will be a masterpiece, I am sure.

Ah, so many people here.

Ciao,
Ellie

Next WIP, it is funny how a simple stroke can change the expression.
