This is where I am probably going to have to stop for a while:

I know the back of the headdess looks a bit funny, but it will be covered up with the things that are hanging down as will the blank areas in the middle area.

Wow, can I join in?

Gérôme is my all time favorite illustrator/artist, I'm very rusty with my figure drawing, art school in the late seventies was my last serious effort but I've been using Painter for 11 years so I'm fairly used to digital paint.

Ed777uk,

This is looking really good ~ I would encourage you to keep working on it. You would be amazed to see how far you can take things in 4 weeks, even in one. I would encourage you to stick with and to refine this piece ~ over time, you will start to see small things which you can improve, and it all adds up in the end. I'm often amazed to compare my beginning results, which I liked at the time, with the end result after several weeks.

EDIT: I like to use my CGPortfolio blog to post WIP images, which helps me to see my progress over time. Just a suggestion, in terms of tracking one's own progress.

Looking forward to an update!

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

Cheers Rebbeca,

I will take yor advice and stick with this one! I have a tendancy to work very quickly so it will be good to have a go at putting some hours into one image.....ill show you how I get on.

I tried picking the colours myself and can see that its a definitly a skiil worth learning!
