Xillion,

Great to see your new piece! I would suggest putting in a darker toned bkgrd ~ something rather darker than her skin ~ so that you are better able to see your value relationships. The basic proportions are looking good. Now that you have the basics roughed out, I would suggest going in with a soft brush with a low opacity, and sampling some of your existing colors (alt + clicking / sampling colors of the canvas when in brush mode) and then beginning to blend using your low opacity brush and sampled colors. Looking forward to your next update!

Everyone,

Check out Amerasu's great new Digital Painting Tutorial, which should be quite useful in the context of these Workshops especially:

TUTORIAL - Digital Anatomy Painting by Amerasu (Nudity)
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=308311

Many thanks to Amerasu for putting together a great tutorial!

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

Xillion,

Hehe, it's not so easy as that! Great to see the animation! In truth, I think that if you put in a darker background, it would improve this piece by a lot! Looking forward to your update!

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

Xillion - Sweet animation. Always fun to see the process develop right before my eyes.

I haven't started yet in earnest. Here is a warm-up I did. Just a quick set of 3 minute gestures for each pose so I can decide which one I am "feeling" the best. The temptation to draw a beautiful model with a sword is almost overwhelming at this point but we'll see how I feel in the morning.

Mecha,

No worries. All OFDW remain open indefinitely. Post to any so long as you like.

Cheers,
