Concept Sketch: some vegetation sketches



Just some more sketching... just because it's fun :). Gotta do more of that someday, practice the secret art of speedpainting...

Are you sure you are in correct section Man, your sketching is very strong. Especially love your color scheme. Gona watch this thread. Good luck with the chellenge.

Modeling: finally some 3d



Just playing around with the jelly in 3d. Not yet sure about the proportions (the 'sac' could be longer, the pod could be bigger etc), one thing that is sure - there will be more tentacles ;). And, as you see, i'm not even sure if i like the 'wings' anymore.
The rendering is just a lightdome and sss shader, it's not the look i want for finals - at least not the biggest part of it.

Yes very nice images azazel, the colors and concept are pretty nice, nice modeling

can't wait to see more man

I wish I could sketch like that! The sketches are stunning! The modeling is topnotch too, however the spikes on the dorsal fin? seem to be jutting forward. I would think they would radiate outward, kind of like a mohawk haircut. But I might be wrong. I will keep an eye on this thread.

The spikes are pointing backwards . I might get rid of them altogether, and do the fin in more 'organic' way, more like the real 'jelly'. Thanks for the crit
