About the shaders:
I painted two textures for the tree: diffuse (color) and displacement to imitate the roughness of the bark.
I dont know what can I say about the mushrooms and the grass... I rendered diffuse, light, gi, reflection/specular and SSS layers and mixed them in right (or may be wrong) proportions.

Modeling: snail shell



I began the modeling of the main characters; here is the shell of the snail.
The main difficulty was to create a correct geometry of the internal partition, so the scattering of the light in the shell would be correct.

yes, the snail look very good, maybe you can add some bump. imo the "skin" is too smoth in the moment.
