Hey Sergey! At the very least if you would like I could pass along this extremely well done professional render to a few friends and see if they can set you up with future projects (which will hopefully use some of the elements you are making here). At least the wheels and solar panels could be reused if this is a venture/theme you are interested in...

Sorry I didn't realize the aliens are supposed to have stolen an old rover...that is a great idea, very fun. You are doing an excellent job at recreating it too! Can't wait to see the Martian surface.

Tremendously impressed! I don't think many people realize how much effort is required in modeling something like this, to the level of detail you have achieved. It is something you can be very proud of...if you want me to pass around a final image to see if any engineers would like to work with you in the future let me know. This is first rate professional work! Hope you have time to finish!

Good luck.

Hi, oceanbluesky!
I'm very interested in what you suggest me. Take renders ( I think there is no worry about the rules of the challenge), i'll be glad if it will become a good start...
Thank you!

Hey Sergey! Wow! Just wanted to stop by to offer a few words of encouragement...have been really busy working but have followed your thread keenly...the image you posted a while back of a ground test was perfection! Truly professional! Can't wait to show your images off at the Mars Society conference this summer:

http://www.marssociety.org/conference/2006/index.asp

Who knows what could come of it. Last year a guy from Russia who worked for the Discovery Channel Russia joined us for dinner. I'll print out a few of the images you post here, write your email address on them, and pass out a few as flyers and such if you would like. As you can see many of the artists' conceptions offered are not interesting, light-hearted, or actually even artistic:

http://www.marssociety.org/interactive/mars_charts.asp

Can't promise anything but I will definitely try. Great work!!

Shading (Textured and lit): Character finished

Here one of the aliens.
He is not very complex, cause on final image he will be enough small.
I used displacement, reflection, translucent(sss) and diffuse maps.
Not using ZBrush - just 3dmax & photoshop...

Hey just stopping by to offer words of encouragement! Cool alien Sergey...nicely done. You know it occured to me, there are a lot of competitors to this Challenge, and judging is going to be difficult and subjective...whatever the outcome, the cool thing is many images end up in the Expose books associated with this particular Challenge. Worst case scenario is showing your work to NASA engineers and program managers: by pointing to it in the book! That would be cool!!

Alright, good luck!
