Thanks, and yes.

I use Lightwave for creating the base mesh then export it into Zbrush for detailing, texturing etc., it's great for that.

Shading (Textured and lit): grandma teenywink final render ( really )

After some good crits from this forum and others, I've made a few changes.
I've changed the texture spots to a more subtle color and blended it out a bit to make it look more natural rather than painted. I've also changed the color of her hair. I've also inflated her ears a bit to make it look a little fuller rather that thin looking pieces of plastic.

Oh, and thanks Shakes, I appreciate that.

awww... she looks so much better now, when the rollers and the skinpattern match in colors, and she has turn blond so sweet and gentle, just like a grandma

Shading (Textured and lit): Pose test

I finally got all the fixens for grampa teenywink made and set up.
This is just a test pose to see how things look, now I can get on to texturing grampa.

Hey very nice updates here steve, i like the style of texturing even if i'm not totaly fan of pink shoes of grandma, i think there's too much pink on her, just a suggestion...

Keep it up the cool work

Slippers!!!... Ahem.. I mean Mental style you've got Steve, I can tell this will be a classic piece for sure... Your treatment of the characters so far is really tight, if I may, I'd suggest exaggerating her lean a little more, as well as bending his spine a touch... just to give them a little more of a longing/ loving feel

This is just great mate... Good luck

Wow, I was like 40 pages back just a while ago lol.

shakes:
Thanks again Shakes, your work is coming along great as well.

DaddyMack:
Thanks, and I'm still pretty much a newb at this too. After reading what you said, I must agree with you. Time is running short and May will be here sonner than you thiink. I have a hard time figuring out the best way to do renders so I need all the time I can get for the final scene to tinker with.
If I change the shape of any of the characters, I'll have to re-create new "object space" normal maps cause I can't get "tangent space" normal maps to work well in Lightwave.
Hopefully if I have the time once eveything else is done, I will.

centavrus:
thanks dude. Like I always say, "If you can't be good, at least be funny at it".

Shading (Textured and lit): couples textured and posed

Finally got grandpa teenywink textured. Now I have to get on with scene creation. If I have the time I'll go back and tweak them teenywinks some more.
