Shading (Textured and lit): grandma texture test

This is just an early texture test of what I've got so far. I'm still going to tweak it and change some things.
I also have to add eyes which I keep forgetting to do for some strange reason.

Shading (Textured and lit): grandma teenywink texture test 2

Still tweaking some things like crazy tryng to get this to look right.
I added a specular map, lightend the fleshtone a little, refined the fur, added hair and a coffee cup.

Sheesh.......I keep forgetting the freakin eyes!

Shading (Textured and lit): grandma teenywink final test

I've finally gotten the stinkin eyes in and other than a little gloss and specular lighting for the hair and curlers, I'm pretty much done with her.

....Now on to grand pa pa

aww, she is lovely... and the coffeecup is just maybe the pattern on her is a tiny bit to bright or sharp for my taste, I found myself looking at that a bit too much... but she is a true sweetheart, a real grannylook

Thanks guys, and thanks for the crits.

Yeah, I kinda been thinking about the patterns on her face as well. Some friends of mine at work say the same thing about the patterns standing out too much. Guess I'll have to tinker with it for a bit to see what I can do with it.
I'm only worried about time. I'm still a newb at this stuff and when it comes to rendering, I'm not very experienced at it so I want to leave myself plenty of time to play with that.
I find that if I concentrate too much on one central thing about a character that I might not leave myself enough tme for the rest of the modeling and rendering that has to be done.
