Concept Sketch: Character Design: Hansel



OK now down to the real work.
Here is a first pass at doing some designs for Hansel. A little on the chubby side. But what did you expect from a kid who carries around a loaf of bread?

I like the sketch at the bottom, head tucked into the shoulders. I'd recommend pushing this direction further. Maybe his sister can be the one pulling him along, so he can be reluctantly still facing us a bit. It would be a shame to miss this face / pose...
And the french bread - LoL!

Great concept!

I definitely think we have to see Hansel in that pose nibbling on the bread facing us. That expression is priceless. Can't wait to see more!
