no, you don't, joining is free for everyone, you need to be member of CGtalk forums I think (which is free).

Could you be more specific about the "turntable submission", how is it different from the ordinary WIP and why are they separated? Someone said something about angles and I got confused .

Yep, no animation but the model turning in an avi/mov. If you hceck out some showreels from modellers you'll see often they show you the model from all sides. That's what it is. (I think, lol)

I gues my biggest question is about part of the Challenge instructions:
Quote: It is recommended that entrants focus on physically small characters (bugs, Hobbits, Elves, Children, Faeries, birds, animals, micro robots - whatever) in a foreground setting against a vast backdrop of epic proportions (by comparison).

When it says "physically small characters", is it refering to actual small characters (like the ones described) or that the characters appear small in comparision to the scene/enviroment?

Hey Robert, sorry if I missed this,
but I guess the thumbnails are out/over?

Takes to much space or slows the server to much down?

Hi Mibus - This might just be me, but when I click on the '3D Entries Forum' underneath the banner on the 2D Thread page it goes to the 3D Spectacular Challenge...

Hi!! Are we restricted to only one upload per milestone? For example, I have to upload only one concept sketch on my WIP thread and then the next should be the line art? Or can I upload as much concept sketches as I want?

thanks!!
