glorious morning

I wanted to give this morning sunrise picture a nice feeling with cozy looking materials and stuff.
Cinema 4d shaders by me and some textures downloaded from web and
I wanted to put a render to a poster of my previous challenge.

Lighting: Spent hours and hours to tweak the sunlight just into right angle and direction.

Spherical HDRI map in a sphere. I have used a hdri map from hdrlabs HDRI handbook.

Geometry: Some work with inverting normals in obj file. Hypernurbs to sheets and blanket.

Still a bit murky imho.

I have worked on the lighting. I hope it looks very psychedelic. I am now working on textures and shaders. C&C welcomed.

Rendered in Yafaray using ambient occlusion.

Cheers and God bless.

Short film

just in case you wonder how the scene was used in a short film, here is a short example ...
  11 November 2009
drmaya ... the first image of yours looks better atmosphere wise, the colors just feel more interesting then blue .. the blue is more cliché to me and looks too clean. Also, just a little point, i would make the poster a little more unbalanced as far as composition .. this is too much in the center with the wall and the pillow, makes me wanna jump between the too and i assume the pillow is the center of the image, so maybe make the poster a little bigger and point to the pillow with one of the corners or something ...

else it looks pretty nice, what did you use to render it??

and PLEASE, if you could, give credits to David Vacek who was actually the key modeler.

so just write "modelled by: David Vacek, design by: David Tousek" .... this is more precise and if im the only one listed, it would not be fair ...

sorry for the confusion, it was couple months ago when i gave this to Jeremy and did not really clear this little formal detail.

Here is my first step, done in a few hours today :

For the moment only 1 sunlight and an area light but willing to get a more colorful result.

I hope my subject speaks for itself .

You guys entries are pretty mindblowing...

Here is what I am working on. Just have my base lighting in right now, I am still trying to figure out a compisition that I like. Any thoughts?
