V-Ray | Using Render Element "VRayObjectID"
I'm just looking for a reproduction of my problem, not the solution right now, so please read the post up to the question ;-)
I’m currently working on a project where I need to create rgb-masks for specific objects as well as for specific materials.
For the materials, the MultiMatteElement does the job, for the objects, I tried to use the “VRayObjectID” render element.
However, this setup does not work (for me only?) as this render element is always “empty”. All pixels contain 0.0 in all rgba-channels. Changing parameters, the object IDs to another value or anything like that does not help.
As this render element is not listed on the official list (see http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/200...er_elements.htm) I wonder if it is kind of deactivated?
I’m using 3ds max 2012 & 2013 with V-Ray Adv 2.30.01.
Now, my simple question:
Can anyone reproduce this problem? - or, in other words, is there anybody with a similar setup where this works?

I would just like to know if it is just a problem of my pc/max/licence or whatever before I write a complete support request to chaosgroup.
