Vray Render - very grainy.

Hello,

What could be reason for seeing a lot of noise when I use the Vray renderer.

I have a scene setup with the Vray physical camera and vray lights. For some reason, I see a lot of noise when I use the vray physical camera with the vray rendering engine, but not when I use other cameras with the Vray renderer.

New to Vray renderer, not looking for the top quality which I know vray is capable of, but a good render without any noise.

Thanks

Please have a look at the pic below.

If you are rendering with "Adaptive subdivision" you have to know that it has a feature called undersampling. If it's min. rate is set to the default -1, it means that it will use the color of four pixels to determine one color sample. This makes renders really fast, but sometimes can also add noise to the final image.

So you may try increasing it's min. rate or render with "Adaptive DMC".

Thanks Orthoma,

I will have to try it out in my next project. Since it was getting late I started the render using the default Scanline Render.
