Very cool, the face shape is coming very nicely, just keep it up

Good update shakes. The shades get me wondering how you will do the lens. Maybe those cheesy graded lens they have, maybe in pink? Are we going to see his eyes? Or has he eaten so much he can't open em?

In any case, it is undeniably the king already!

Very cool, shakes!
Your work always make laugh out loud and leaves a smile on my face - thank you!

thanks everyone- appreciate the support!
soapy, I kinda like the gradient idea so you ever so slightly see the eyes- I guess it's
that or complete mirror glass.might do both and see what you all prefer.

I think I'm going to use Shave and a Haircut for the hair-
did a few tests last night, and it should work fine.hoping to post a decent updaate this weekend.

hey pit- thanks- I've always loved that crazy avatar of yours!

Glad to see you might be useing s&h Shakes, it would be nice to see it in action. I think it might be important that you see his eyes to some degree as they are very important in displaying emotion. I always percieved your concept to have a dark humour quality to it, after all, Elvis, under all the gliz and glam was a real person who just kinda lost his way as many of the big celebs do. If you're after full on comedy then mirror glasses would be better as the eyes are not so important then and they look cool.

Funny concept

Good luck

Modeling: upper body

a bit slower progress than I'd hoped for- getting lost in poly flab!

handlebar: i think I'll go for outright humour with this..I think it will be disturbing enough having a sumo elvis with his belly button hanging out! so maybe mirror glasses, or just slightly tinted- I want him to look like he's as happy as a pig in mud!

Ahmed Hosny: thanks for looking!

Great stuff so far Shakes! I especially like how you modeled the mouth... it's really Elvis-ish

Hahah, The King is BIG!

If he was still on earth I would say the gravity should be taking a stronger hold, but since he is in heaven I guess he can expand straight out.
  09 September 2005
Something I learned last challenge was that gravity makes body fat Flabtastic (tm)... Dont look... I found it easier to model taking gravity into account all the way... Good luck with it mate, that's a whole lotta elvis you've got to go This is one of my favourites in the challenge Shakes Keep it coming mate!
Those who know it can't be done should stop interrupting those who are doing it
