Spend some time on the feet

I would spend some time getting the feet done, it is so important to getting the image looking right. The head is starting to look really good. Need to do some smoothing in the abdomen. Really good progress so far!

HammaJamma, you are absolutely right. I'll have to get the final form ready before moving on. Somehting's very bad habit about me and ZBrush is that when I know I cna pose the ZSphere using Pose-2-Pose, I tend to work on it too much...but it's fun (^_^) Thanks for remindign me about the feet, man.

enialadam: Thanks for your complement. I'll definately work more on the model before moving on to other things of the final scene.

anim_ziggy: Sometime, I do get odd results from ZSphere modeling, perhaps due to my lack of knowledge about the ZSphere. For me, ZSphere is still qutie a mysterious way of modeling. I'll need to learn more about it (^_^)

Modeling: Elephant Modeling 004 > Rough out the form continues 2

This time around I spent time in building up the generic muscle and main landmarks. I think it's very important at this stage to have the form as close to how I'd like the final elephant will be.

Modeling: Elephant Modeling 004 > Rough out the form continues 3

In fact, after a few more sessions, I might do another form of elephant (a tad bit different) as there are 2 main elephants in the scene and I want the two to have some type of form variation. However, this time (today) I read up about characteristics of a good elephants (which I will try to summarize for you guys to read soon).

Modeling: Elephant Modeling 004 > Rough out the form continues 4

I know still a long way to go (especially the toe, the trunk, etc) but for now I just want to have fun with some ZSphere repose ;) Just for tonight's fun. A dancing Elephant pose.

Today I read a bit of knowledge about characteristics of a Good elephant (This is more of a history book) and I think it's quite cool, and I think some might find it cool and funny.

As some of you may know only Great kings deserve great elephants. How to determine about an elephant requires great knowledge and expertise. Only good elephants are fit to be a vehicle of Royal family.

I'll summarize this down to a few items (so you guys won't be bored with this ;))

1. Skin
The skin around soft tissue should be of Red Lotus, general skin must be in Brownish color or toward white.

2. Hair
Best: Hair around the Ears Frontal lope and Back will be examined. The base of the hair should be black in nature, toward the tip of the hair should be transparent

Hair with Honey color's considered ok, but not as good as the one mentioned above.

But hair that's totally black or no transparent at all is not good.

3. Ears
Ears must not be torn.

4. Tail
There must be hair covering the tail (no hair on tail's considered bad characteristic)

The length of the tail's also important, the best is around the angle of the hind legs.

The following are considered bad tail:

- Too short
- Too long (down to the ground)
- Not straight down

The color of the tail hair should be in honey (different of the body hair)

5. Eyes
-Outer eye must be white and clear
-Around the middle part, Light purple, Blue, or Gray
-Iris, Black should be big, but small iris would mean a loyal and tame elephant.

6. Upper Inner Mouth, or Mouth Ceiling
Should be the same color as its skin

7. Penis
One must examine when the elephant urinates, should be of pink or purple.

8. Vagina
Must be close at all time, must not be hanging

9. Nail
Good nails should be smooth (to test this, you must use sliced lime and rub over the nail, then leave it for 10 minutes) should be smooth with White or Pink in color.

10 Tusks
The skin around the tusks shall be white or pink in color, indented inward.

Only Elephants with these characteristics shall be worthy enough for a King to ride on. Interesting, huh? :) I'll pose more insight on Elephant stuff later as well. For now I should get back to my normal work...
