Head critique | not quite working ..

Hi,

Need an extra pair of eyes to look over the following head, It's a 3d potrait of my niece, im using various head refs and things seem to line up, but it still doesn't seem to be working...

The ears are still in progress, im mainly concerned with the proportions, shape and over all position of features.

If you feel you can see something distinctively wrong, please feel free to do a paintover.

Thanks in advance.

Dave.

Hey Dave, nice to see you here.

The area I might suggest checking is the volume of the back of the head - everyone is different, but I think she needs more mass at the back of the skull:

Also the eyes seem a bit small / widely spaced, as a general rule there's about 1 eye's width between the eyes, but again of course we all vary.

Just two minor suggestions.

Cheers,

-R

Is it possible for us to see your references? It would help a lot on critiquing.

Thanks Rebecca, i'll give that some thought, tricky when everyones different

SpaXe: To be honest i dont feel too comfortable posting images of my niece online. Though i understand it would be far more helpfull .. i dont know, sounds silly i guess, but its a strange world we live in

Thanks again,
Dave.

Maybe itís the camera focal length youíre using for the first two shots shown thatís causing some distortion. Iíd like to see the first two (top left) from a 90mm to 120mm focal length camera setting. I think the perspective needs to be reduced/flattened to better judge their proportions.
