okay, I've already posted these in the appropriate forum on the main page, but I'll kick start this thread, as I'd love to get any more feedback as it's a skill I'm considering improving with the goal of maybe adding it to my professional artistic bow. This is the first time I've ever done story boards, so its a good way of practising both figure drawing and speed drawing. The two pages are a very brief storyboard of a scene from my almost completed novel, Hit the Floor, here's the text which would accompany the scene (the panels run left to right, down, left to right, down, etc):

She'd been asleep for nearly twenty minutes when the chill noise of a the alarm's blip cut through the cosy atmosphere. Instint kicked in for Nick when the hairs at the nape of his neck bristled a fraction of a second after the noise hit his ears. His Sig 228, never more than a few meters from his person slid comfortably into his palm. At the movement, Toni was starled back into wakefulness, sitting bolt upright when she saw the gun in his hand. Her hen to drum forcefully in her chest, despite her best efforts to stay calm. She looked to him with wide eyes as he storked her hair.
"Calm down," he whispered.
"easier said than done. What's wrong?"
"The alarm just blipped." He gestured to a panel on the far wall with a green LED blinking on and off. "That means the security measures are off."
"Jerry?"
"A longshot."
That blunt answer told her much more than he might have guessed. That meant one thing, Jay had found them. Nick picked up the remote and increased the volume on the TV to mask the noise of his footfalls as he crossed the wooden floor to examine the panel.

Hi all,
here's a quite dated storyboard, which I digitized recently:
http://www.fotisinternationalart.co...Storyboard.html

The camera instructions yet to be uploaded are on a separate file, originally placed under the frames.

hey great work guys!

i find sumtimes u can't really crit storyboards, cos storyboardists are usually following instruction from the director,so u can't tell a storyboardist to just change things, cos it may ruin the directors vision.

PENCIL-SLINGER,

Thanks for the compliment, no, I think it's great to see cool storyboard art!!! I myself have tried doing this kind of work and realize it's really tough to do well. So I really admire those who succeed at it! Keep up the good work!

I have a few from college ... sorry for the load times.

An unfinished 3 pager ...

Jack and Jill went up the hill ... you know the rest.

This one is for my father.

All of these have character, story and design by myself. I haven't done a board yet that wasn't something of my own design. The luxury of being a hobbiest.

Yes, see CGSociety forums under CGSociety Collaborative Short Film (can't post those boards here yet) and here's my first project details (3 pages - more storyboards on last page).

No he's not a soccer player. Maybe it's too much of a story to explain here. Let's just say he passed away shortly after helping me move for college and he was always with me and in my thoughts during that period of my life.

Kirt,

Thanks for the reply and links, I will definitely check them out!

Sorry about your dad. Did he give you your sense of humor? I'm sure he must have been a great guy.

Gotcha about the school...gotta go check to see the "Turning Forty" project out!

And BTW, hope you consider my offer.

Cheers!
