Pronation or Supination for Character Modeling? (3D)
I'm not sure how to find out the ideal neutral pose for humanoid arms and would like to get some input here
Is it better to model the lower arm in Pronation or Supination? I've always used Pronation so far for my characters but some days ago I thought about the issue, that you actually model the arm in an unnatural way, that's not really neutral (because of the rotation in the bones) if you make use of Pronation as you can see here:
On the other hand, there are many examples on the web that show characters with a Pronation and less that use a Supination.
What would you suggest and why?
