How does one turn off those face centers... you know, those hard to look at little dots in the center of the faces

Ambient Light - you're right about the edge loop bug - fixing that for 1.03 (it became especially apparent when we were playing with select next/previous edge loop in the character tools plugin ).

Actually, I think it's neither. To select an edge loop, there has to be an intersection of four edges in order for the program to determine the direction properly. On top, there are only three edges intersecting at each point, so I guess it isn't technically an edge loop. You'll notice you can't select those as an edge loop in Wings either. I guess the best bet is maybe to select the top face and then convert selection to edges (Shift+S)?

Edit: oh, well there you go. Nevermind, then.

Errmm. Sorry. You are right, bored alien. That was wrong example. Actually if I delete that face with 30 vertices, I still can't select edge loop. I tried to do the same in XSI with RCTools, I can, although there are only 2 faces to evaluate That was how I ran into this problem. That was wrong example.

BoredAlien is right- it isn't an edge loop technically (and we purposely made it not select edges in that situation), but we're putting in a special case to recognize that type of a situation and do what most people would probably want it to do. So there.

Hey Tom, don't know if you can fit this into character tools, but can u add the ability to slide vertices, edges, edge loops across geometry. kinda like how after you split a face loop you can slide the edge loop around. pleaseeee
Oh yeah, and like ambientlight said, can you fix the manipulator defaulting to world orientation after making another selection. BTW, this only happens when not in universal manipulator mode.

for all the non-US-residents without creditcards i got the following confirmation from payPal:

Yep. I just found it right before you edited your post. I was going to reply about it and wow.. There we go! I guess universal manipulator might actually be very useful after all

Hey Guys, in all the edge loop excitment my "dissolve face" question must have been missed Is there a "dissolve" type command in Silo?
Also, as Ibox asked, is there a way to turn off those face centre points, I also find them very distracting.

Beware my psychic powers!

I don't use Wings much, but can't you just select the edges and delete them?
