How to do in Silo ....
i am searched a long time for a tool like silo.
A "Notepad" for 3d modelling and not a whole office suite.
Basically my first impressions with silo are pretty good, but i cant figure out how or if i can do the following with it
-> Smoothing groups
i want to do low poly modelling. Here i need eg one part of a cube to have smoothed normals, the other side not.
In max it would be "select a bunch of faces, set them to a smoothing group, the face normals are interpolated after that"
-> partial subdivision
i can subdivide with c and decrease subdiv count with v.
Can i subdivide only a part of the mesh, only the selected faces ?
Can i tesselate them instead of smoothing ?
-> solid chamfer
you know, do a bevel without removing the original edge, so you get more accurate hard surfaces ?
These are the mainfeatures i couldn't find and need to use all the day.
Can you point me how to do it or is it not possible ?
