Unhappy crazy obj from silo

Hello, I have problem exporting obj from silo 2.2 to Carrara 8 pro

I just create cube and sphere and then I select the cube then shift and select the sphere .
then I Boolean subtract in order to create spherical hold on the cube.

on Silo the whole thing looks perfect, the problem once I exported to obj or even any supported format to Carrara or any other software, the result always I'm loosing that spherical hold on the cube, I end with just normal cube.

this problem not exist on AC3D or other software.

please tell me if there is a way to solve this, I really like Silo it's so simple and easy to work with.

You may notice that the edge-loop around the opening of the hole is not connected to the cube, it's just kind of floating there (not sure of a better way to describe it).

If you connect a vertex from the hole to one of the corner vertices on the cube it will probably import OK - assuming carrara supports >4 sided faces.

Probably best to avoid boolean functions altogether.

OBJ don´t support holes in nGons - so you have to connect at least one point from the spherical part to the top nGon of the cube (as Cinnsealach stated).
