Drawing Orthographic from Perspective
Hi all,
I like modeling as a hobby and have found an image of a machine that I'd really like to build. It's more complex than I've ever done and want to draw up orthographic images to follow. There are some straight edges but the main part is organic and curved. Does anyone know how I can draw an orthographic from a perspective image? Couple people I've asked have said go freestyle and try building. I'd like it to be accurate so would appreciate any help. |

You can reverse engineer the perspective distortion of the image and work out the proper sense of proportions/scale. Any of the books on perspective drawing will give you the information you need. Andrew Loomis's "Successful Drawing" or Scott Robertson's book are good choices.
