Latest Update: Final Image: This is it!

A few words about the story: The humans have lost the biggest war in history against the machines. Life on Earth is almost gone because of the nuclear and chemical bombs. The machines have no idea how to react to this situation and so they turn back on human history trying to find the answers. This is how they started building entire fake green forests made in plastic, they built temples and saw them selves as ancient goods enslaving the humans and forcing them to breath throw their artificial air purifying systems.
Ok, about the composition. It's a static composition built around the main character. All the elements are colored, positioned and lighted so the eye looks at the main character first and then discovers the rest of the surroundings. To achieve that I used a single bright light on the main character and let the secondary ones disappear in the shadows. The main colors I used, green and red are also a complementary contrast between warm and cold. To break the static structure I used deferent elements like plants and objects. They add more depth to the composition.

So that’s all I could think about this work at this point. Thank you all for your support, opinions and advices. You’ve been a great help and without your support I wouldn’t get to finish it. It’s been fun and challenging. Thanks again guys! I’ll see you on the next one! Good luck to you all!

Concept Sketch: concept sketch

Hey guys! It’s nice to work compete again with so many talented artists. This theme is great. I had some ideas but this is my favorite.
The action takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. After a 1000 years war, the machines took over the planet and enslaved the human survivors. They started rebuilding the cities taking the roman and greece world as example.

Wellcome. Good luck and lots of inspiration. I like your ideea, allthough it seems inspired from The Matrix, but aniway the fact that the robots are inspired from the ancient greek and roman civilizations is something new and I like it.
I'm curious to see how this ideea will develop, I'll come here often.

Concept Sketch: sketch

Hey guys! Nice to see you here, I’m working all this weekend on this image so I’ll post some other images soon.
Dimmur: yes, it’s a similar idea but I’m taking it in a totally different direction from The Matrix.
OKMER: You’re right, there is a bit of Jabba feeling around the composition. But that’s a good thing, right?
Velinov: thanks man, glad you like it. I think the servants will be dressed in some kind of freaky-sado outfit.

Good work, Mihai. This concept sketch is beautiful. My only suggestion (too soon to make suggestions?) is to widen the opening over the master to give him some contrast lighting and make him stand out.

Your Grand Space Opera was one of my favourites, so I'm sure you'll do a great job with this one!

Line Art: build perspective

Hello Andreasrocha, nice to see you again here. You're right about the composition, but for the moment I'll live it the way it is..after the first color test I'll make some changes. Thanks for the comment

I love your composition and your lighting, brilliant stuff. BUT- where are the humans? It's a requirement you know!

Wow. Your figures have wonderful solidity. Which brushes are you using for the line art?
Hang in there, it's going well!

Hello there Paperclip! The idea is that the girls that you see are humans but they depend on the big robot guy to breath ( I'll add some tubes that connect them to the machine later ) because the air is very toxic after the war ended.

this looks awsome!!

I like it! Can't wait to see it in color. Try to avoide a boring composition, don't place it in the center of the image.

Good luck

yeah! the fat ceasar! looks cooler than Iceberg

And sexy chicks are always a good element
(maybe some grapefluits and other luxury items on the table and It's becoming truly a brilliant neo-classic painting)

Subscribing this one for sure!
