This one looks great, the line in the drawing is very well defined but it still gets texture, love it so far

It's looking great! Are you planning on lighting him as a solid or making him self-illuminated?

Bit of both. There will be light coming from him, but he'll be quite transparent in places, as he's just materialized from his prison. Since in the original drawing i'm giving the impression of a cave, it would be nice to see all sorts of colours bouncing around in some sort of magic event.

The other options i'm playing around in my head are having him at the tip of a mountain at the peak of the world, lots of clouds etc (probably not, i want it to be quite dark with a strong one point light source)

I'm tempted to make this setting inside a volcano, as Genie's are fire demons..........lava looks stunning as well.

We'll see.

I like how this one's coming along. The layout is simple, but very nice. I also get a really strong 'Atlantis' stuff!

That evil grin is absolutely perfect. The hell would anyone want to wish something from that face? Creepy genie. Creepy evil wish-granting fire-demon spirit! AH!

I've made a few thumbnails of different faces, and the evil look works best for what I'm trying to achieve.

The design of the face will take a few turns here and there until i'm happy.....but the cheeky looking and open mouthed berserker look i tried seemed a little too obvious for my tastes. I want the look to give a feeling of insecurity to the fool who let him out, to do their bidding. Greed has a nasty habit of turning and biting you on the backside.............or worse.

But our power hungry boy is delving a bit too deep to satisfy his desires.

Should have went to university and got a better education.

What do they say......"don't play with fire, you might get burnt"

Some servants can't be mastered!
