Master and Servant 3D Entry: Monica Taddei

Monica Taddei has entered the Master and Servant 3D.

Challenge Page

Latest Update: Modeling: positioned body wip

Hello everyone!
I'm working hard to finish it, but I'm very glad I decided to enter the challenge, as I'm learning quite a lot.
Having a deadline and feedback from other people really keeps you going!
Anyway, I positioned the woman and I'm modeling her head. This is not very simple as I had never modelled a human realistic looking head before. I'll post the result later.
In the meantime, I'm refining the color scheme and lighting I have in mind. I also started the other character, and I'll post that later, too.
Good luck everyone!
Monica

Concept Sketch: Master and Servant monica.ta concept sketch

My concept is a game, it is all about doubt: who's the master and who's the servant in reality? And how abuse and exploitation can lead a master to become victim of its own abusive games and a cunning servant to become a master? What I'm trying to produce is an image that makes the viewer reflect about this, but possibly with a smile.

Modeling: WIP servant modeling

I started the modeling of the woman, and so looking forward to pose her and sculpt details.
The good thing is there's a bank holiday now, so I will be able to go on with the work a bit faster.
Let me know your thoughts about it.
Have a good weekend!
Monica

Modeling: hand

Just modeled the lady's hand and will start the head tomorrow. It's the second time I model a hand, but the first time was a cartoony one, so I'm quite pleased with the result. Looking forward to rig it and see if the model reacts as I want it to.
Good night!

Monica,

I love the style of your concept sketch and initial massing of the figure. They immediately give me the impression of old New Yorker illustrations for some reason (in a good way).

Can't wait to see how yours will turn out.

Best of luck!

Thanks Trey for your comment
I really like that kind of illustration, so I'm glad it reminded you that
I'm looking forward to work on it during the weekend, but even though it's hard to keep up with the deadlines at work and the challenge altogether, I'm meeting many new people and really enjoying this experience on CGtalk.
Really looking forward to see your final
Best of luck
Monica

Hi Diogo,
it's a good point, I think you're right. Even if I want that style they actually are a bit too square.
I was already thinking of changing that.
Thanks for your comment!
