hey there dude.. this is looking great.. concept is fantastic... it reminds me too much though of the open cinematic of warcraft3 reign of chaos.. even the little star symbol.. the pillars, all of it.. maybe if you can sketch some more to show us more of your idea so it doesnt look to much like something else.. that'll be great..but i still like this man dont get me wrong..im just being honest..

Concept Sketch: composition



Im playing with camera. Trying to find the best composition with the basic scene model. I dont want to model and to texture more than is needed so that is why I do this.

Im starting with model. For better controling the scene scale and dimension I desided to add a few people now. Basic lighting is still there.

Good start.. and great camera angle!

There is a thing about the proportions though. It looks too much in preperation to the master they await to enter.
Like the dorrs, the collumbs.. most everything is to his size. Nothing to fit the size of those sitting there waitng for his arrival.
Is that on purpose?

On more thing that caught my attention is again duer to his massiveness. As I get it, he is gigantic. But with how you set the scene it seems as if you are trapping him in between the pillars. Since it seems as if he can't get through their gaps.

None the less these are not really crits but things that caught my attention and I am asking if thats especially done for the stoy line. Like they can only open the doors for his arrival to his chambers on this dimension. But he can not make it past these chambers...

I am looking forward to what you are going to be coming up with! the elements you could add that comes to mind are so promising! I believe this is going to be a good compposition all together

About proportions..... Im planing to do there objects like stairs and other things in the human size what will fix this problem as I hope.
And about "trapping him in between the pillars" - you are absolutely right. My first concept was not this circular composition of the sanctuary but common two lines of pilots (so there was a way out of the sanctuary). But the oposite side of the against the hell door was empty what doesnt fit the composition so decided for this solution. Idea was: What will happen if the devil is awaken? He will destroy the whole world. And sanctuary? Sanctuary was built only for one purpose - it is a hellgate. So it can be destroed too now (Im not really persuaded about it, but first He will destroy all worshippers - why not? - he is a devil
So ? What do yyou think? Is it ok?

Yes that really explains alot...

And I think you have really gotten the stairs in there very nicely.
I have to admit that the angle for the camera that you have chosen is a very tricky one. It could look very impressive or the exact opposite. So far nothing is disapionting.. I would really like to see where you are getting it at

Hey good idea. I think it will be iinteressant to have a very big shadow of a (maybe little) character coming up from the door. But you maybe already thought about it.
